Get Behind the Effort to Form a Cyber Security Council for the UK

Since the release of the IAAC Research Report Understanding Careers and Professionalism in Cyber Security in 2017, IAAC has worked to ensure HMG’s effort to professionalise cyber practice within the National Cybersecurity Strategy reflects the breadth of skills and practice areas required. As an active member of the Cyber Security Alliance now delivering the UK Cyber Security Council Formation Project, IAAC would like to draw attention to a number of engagement opportunities for application.

In September 2019, The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) commissioned the establishment of the UK Cyber Security Council through a consortium of cyber security professional bodies, of Which IA|C is one, to be finalised by the end of March 2021. This Alliance of professional cyber security organisations will bring together credibility and knowledge across a wide range of disciplines to further strengthen the UK’s leadership position in cyber security innovation and resilience on the global stage. In support of this effort, the project secretariat is seeking organisations represented by senior, experienced individuals to participate in the workstreams and for the following roles.

– Project Board Co-Chair
