The SIRO role is an integral part of government’s approach to managing information risk. Developed by the National Archives in association with OGSIRO, Cabinet Office and CESG, this handbook sets out, for the first time, the core responsibilities and duties a SIRO should fulfil. This handbook is part of a continued development to fully understand and address the issues faced by the SIRO community. The handbook will be updated to include further essential information and case studies in late 2014.
