 Workshops

Workshops are the primary means by which IAAC gathers information and opinion to feed into its research programme.  The workshops are normally held in the London Offices of BCS The Chartered Institute for IT www.bcs.org; IAAC is grateful for BCS support for these meetings.

Workshops are normally private meetings under the Chatham House Rule to allow participants to give their frank opinions and inputs to discussions. Some papers from past workshops are available on this website for Council Members.

The IAAC workshop model is to start at 12.30 with a working and networking lunch, lead into two or three short presentations to provide ideas and stimulus, break for tea and conclude with a long discussion with everyone taking part.   This model works well for us and invariably leads to a lively and controversial discussion.

Spaces for these spirited presentations and discussions are limited; please contact us at info@iaac.org.uk or 01793 417453 if you would like to be added to our invitation list.

Dates of forthcoming Workshops:

  • 21 September 2010
  • Late November 2010
